Let Your Mind Run: A Memoir of Thinking My Way to Victory

by Deena Kastor

I can’t express how much I loved this book! I listened to it on Audible; her voice and how she reads it makes such a difference. I love her. Deena Kastor’s memoir is more than a story about running; it’s about harnessing the power of your mind to overcome obstacles, both in sports and life. Her journey from a self-doubting athlete to an Olympic medalist is inspiring, and she shares powerful lessons on mental strength and positivity. This book is a must-read for anyone looking for motivation, whether you’re a runner or just striving to reach your personal goals. Amazing!

Kill the Beast

by Serena Valentino

This is another dark, spellbinding addition to Serena Valentino’s villain series. It focuses on the Beauty and the Beast world but from a fresh perspective. Valentino digs into the characters' psyches, giving a deeper understanding of the Beast’s curse and the consequences of their choices. It’s a little darker and edgier than Disney’s usual, which makes it so engaging. Fans of twisted fairy tales will love the emotional depth and dark magic in this one.

The Summer Pact

by Emily Giffen

It is a charming and heartfelt read that dives into friendships and the unspoken promises that bind them. The pacing was spot-on, and Giffen does a great job exploring how the characters evolve through the trials of love and life. It’s the book that brings you back to your summer memories while offering layers of emotion and tension. It's a great choice for anyone wanting a light yet meaningful read.

Mistakes We Never Made

by Hannah Brown

Mistakes We Never Made is a delightful story of love, friendship, and second chances. Brown’s characters are relatable, and I found myself rooting for them throughout their ups and downs. The writing is crisp, with moments of humour and heartfelt revelations, making it a perfect fall read. It’s a beautiful exploration of our choices and how they shape who we become.

The Assassin's Blade

by Sarah J. Maas

I am so glad I read this one first—it made Throne of Glass and the rest of the series much more evident! The Assassin’s Blade gives the essential backstory to Celaena, and it explains why she is the way she is, why she reacts to specific situations, and why her heart is so guarded. It is split into four sections with four different scenarios and stories that shape her into who she is at the beginning of Throne of Glass. It also builds a strong emotional connection with her, making everything that happens later feel even more impactful. If you’re starting the Throne of Glass series, read this first!

Throne of Glass

by Sarah J. Maas

Throne of Glass kicks off the epic journey of Celaena Sardothien, an assassin with a complicated past. This book throws you into intrigue, court politics, and deadly competition. Celaena is one of my favourite characters—she’s tough, fierce, and vulnerable all at once. The world-building is fantastic, and the action will keep you turning the pages. It’s the start of an unforgettable series that only gets better.

Crown of Midnight

by Sarah J. Maas

In Crown of Midnight, the stakes are higher, the twists are sharper, and Celaena’s character development hits new heights. This is where the series starts picking up pace, and Maas’s ability to weave tension and romance is masterful. The deeper we dive into Celaena’s world, the more complex and compelling her journey becomes. This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions, and I loved every second.

Heir of Fire

by Sarah J. Maas

This is the book where Celaena’s journey truly becomes epic. We get much more world-building, and introducing new characters adds rich layers to the story. There’s more magic, depth, and exploration of Celaena’s powers and heritage. Heir of Fire is a slow burn, but it’s worth it for the character growth and jaw-dropping moments. It’s a game-changer in the series and one of my favourites.

Queen of Shadows

by Sarah J. Maas

I was utterly immersed in this world when I reached Queen of Shadows. Celaena—now Aelin—takes her destiny into her own hands, and watching her step into her full power is beyond satisfying. The alliances she forms, the battles she faces, and the emotional stakes in this book are at the next level. Maas hits her stride here, balancing action, magic, and heart-pounding tension. It's a must-read for anyone who’s been following Aelin’s journey.
