​My name is Taylor Steele, and I own Tayste | Showgirl Smooth. I have learned that sometimes life throws you lemons, and you have no other choice than to pivot. So, here is my latest pivot: from sugaring and personal care business to personal blogging.

For those who don't know me or anything about me, I am a professional figure skater who gets to travel the world with Disney On Ice, portraying the role of Rapunzel alongside my husband, Jacob. I am a certified makeup artist, lash lift and tint and brow lamination artist, a certified figure skating coach, a student, and a book nerd.

 

Over the past few years, I've wanted to start this blog and share some of the things I love most, ideas, and random things I've learned in a decade of touring and travelling. I've wanted to answer random questions we get doing something as cool as we do. I've wanted to share tips and tricks on travel, airports, city traffic, or public transit.

So, after almost a decade of telling myself it's a silly idea, here we go. Welcome to Tayste | Showgirl Smooth, home to random ideas, tips, and tricks on everything from beauty to fitness to travel and everything in between. Welcome to the random assortment of ideas that flow through my head regularly.

Welcome to my crazy life. 

 

 I chose the name Showgirl Smooth because I have had the great honour of being a Professional Figure Skater [Showgirl] for the past decade and travelling the world. When performing, I always feel my best, like my truest self. I feel invincible, beautiful, strong, and fabulous all around. I want to create an inclusive and safe environment for everyone, leaving them feeling beautiful, strong, and fabulous.
